How to Eat Your Greens (Even if you Hate Them)

its broccoliThere isn’t a doctor on the planet who won’t tell you that green veggies will do a body good.  They’re chock full of vitamins and minerals, not to mention antioxidants.  Green veggie consumption will boost your immune system, skyrocket your energy and give your skin a glow that sunshine just can’t beat.

But all those leafy greens come with a downside.  I’m the first to admit that I don’t exactly love the green stuff.  It’s taken a few years and a lot of experimenting to find recipes that tantalize my taste buds.

Not to mention that green veggies have an annoying tendency to turn to brown slime in the bottom of my refrigerator before I can down them to nourish my cells.  That adds up to a whole lotta wasted money.

But there is a solution, whether you just don’t like the taste of green vegetables or you’re too much on the go to stock your fridge full of the freshest broccoli and kale.  When you’re in a pinch but need a green boost, just reach for a powdered green food supplement.  They’ve come a long way from their prototypical ancestors and no longer taste like swamp scum, promise.

My favorite green on the go is Amazing Greens in berry flavor.  It tastes delicious and shakes up great in just plain water, or for a more hearty treat, add some almond milk and maybe even a little Vega protein powder.  The best part is, it maintains all the healthy goodness of green veggies without the tendency to turn to slime while you’re not looking.

Fresh is always best when it comes to vegetables, of course.  But in a modern world where you’re on the go more often than not, green powders can give you the nutrition you need in a pinch.  So, go pick some up today!
